Sometime in the past 5 days, a change was made that breaks inserting
accentuated characters in emacs -nw. When I type è (codepoint
#x68), Emacs inserts the character with codepoint #x43, which is not
what I want. My locale is en_US.UTF-8. Expanding abbrevs
containing accentuated characters works fine, so the problem is
really with keyboard input.

I've tried to isolate the commit that causes this, without success
so far.

Any ideas?

git bisect identifies the following commit as the guilty one:

| e6019ba2406d71759db6178dbe0fd4ea0456530c is first bad commit
| commit e6019ba2406d71759db6178dbe0fd4ea0456530c
| Author: Andreas Schwab <schwab@suse.de>
| Date: Thu Nov 15 23:37:33 2007 +0000
|
| (Fformat): Correctly format EMACS_UINT values.

And indeed, reverting src/editfns.c to CVS revision 1.447 fixes the
problem.

This should be fixed now.

Andreas.
