Another alternative is to make keybindings first-class entities for Customize like faces with their `defface' definition. So customized and saved settings in a customization file would be like: (custom-set-keybindings ;; custom-set-keybindings was added by Custom. ;; If you edit it by hand, you could mess it up, so be careful. ;; Your init file should contain only one such instance. ;; If there is more than one, they won't work right.
