Subject: 23.0.60; Cannot isearch for non-ascii chars with emacs -nw -Q
Date: Mon, 25 Feb 2008 23:19:31 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <87oda4d6h8.fsf@fastmail.fm> (raw)
Please write in English if possible, because the Emacs maintainers
usually do not have translators to read other languages for them.
Your bug report will be posted to the emacs-pretest-bug@gnu.org mailing
list.
Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:
When I start emacs in a terminal with
emacs -nw -Q
and perform an isearch for text containing Umlauts, they won't show up
in the minibuffer (or better, 3 times typing ö shows one ?¶ there) and
no matches will be found.
Isearch does work properly with X11 emacs.
If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger,
please include the output from the following gdb commands:
`bt full' and `xbacktrace'.
If you would like to further debug the crash, please read the file
/usr/share/emacs/23.0.60/etc/DEBUG for instructions.
