Is there a reason you are exporting the README to markdown?  The ELPA
side fine with there just being one file.

Also, it appears your email address in the commit is malformed.

I think sourcehut only doesn't support (or rather render) .org files so that why I wanted to .md as well. Should I add it to the .elpaignore file perhaps?

Thanks for noticing that, it was a configuration error on my part on the computer I made the commit on.

Ah yes, I forgot about that.  It probably doesn't make much of a
difference, so I don't think it makes much of a differrence.
