Part of the rationale for putting url > into Emacs was to get some work done on it! That was my impression as well. But at least I've set things up such that if work is ever done in the URL repository it's easy to merge it back into Emacs. URL maintainers might want to do something similar on their side, but it's really up to them. Stefan
