The people working on python-mode do seem to prefer XEmacs to a
certain extent, so I can understand why you might write something like
that, but I assure it's not very well-behaved by XEmacs standards,
either.  We do tend to be more lenient in those matters if somebody
volunteers to do the maintainance, though, unless it visibly impacts
other code.
