* `fill-column' in doc strings

There seems to be more than one commonly used value for `fill-column' in
the doc strings.  The default seems to be 70, but some of the doc
strings (especially the C ones, for some reason?) seems to be filled at
a value of 79.

Is there a "best practice" for this somewhere?  >"?
