Maybe we could make `Info-search-whitespace-regexp' obsolete now.

Yes, I see no differences.

Then the word "incremental" should be removed from the docstrings of
`isearch-forward' and `search-whitespace-regexp' and from the Info node
"(emacs) Regexp Search".
