Redirecting output to a buffer is very fast, as fast as using temp
files. For a 3.5MB image various transforms give no difference in speed.
But I wonder what is the correct way of doing it.
(call-process "convert"
nil (list (get-buffer-create "tttt")) nil
"temp.jpg" "-size 500x1000" "-")
also puts silly warnings into the same buffer:
Fontconfig warning: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/50-user.conf", line 9: reading configurations from ~/.fonts.conf is deprecated.
Fontconfig warning: "/etc/fonts/conf.d/50-user.conf", line 9: reading configurations from ~/.fonts.conf is deprecated.
How do I get rid of those?
