But it's nevertheless the only sensible starting point to discriminate
between "greater than X lines" or "less than X", so that you could focus
only on the first set of people, to see if (at least) X lines of my
contributions are still there. With "git annotate"-based approaches, you
end to apply the forensics on all the contributors.
