I believe more than a dozen files justifies a separate directory, including the packages for PostScript images: compface.el doc-view.el ezimage.el gravatar.el iimage.el image.el image-dired.el image-file.el image-mode.el ps-bdf.el ps-def.el ps-mule.el ps-print.el ps-print-loaddefs.el ps-samp.el smiley.el svg.el thumbs.el This list is open-ended for new files, such as for e.g. currently discuss= ed new mode for continuous image scrolling.
