This wasn't tagged because I'm not sure all the implications and new
features of XInput 2 support have been documented yet.

Before doing the tagging, I had a look at what we document in the
manuals about other input systems -- and it's very little, so it was my
guess that there wouldn't be anything applicable for the manuals about
XInput 2, either. But you're the domain expert, of course -- if you
think it's likely that there should be documentation at some point
before the Emacs 29 release, please go ahead and remove the tagging
again.

I did some reading through of the documentation related to the once
XI2-specific features, and it turns out that I wrote documentation for
all of them while implementing them on the other platforms, so I think
the current tagging should stay. I'm mighty sorry for the noise.
