And again, nobody has said it's a catastrophe, but it's an unnecessary annoyance. I think we've been over all the issues here several times, and my stance is that we should continue to use `...' (as we have for decades) to quote Lisp symbols in .el files in doc strings and in comments. (I'm not particularly interested in all of the other side issues that have come up in this thread.)
