(What problems remain?) In this particular case "pretty close" means that I am not quite done importing the source code. As of right now I have imported 92717 of 97275 patchsets. Importing via cvsps-import is brutally slow. Once everything is imported I would need to verify that everything worked. I tried using cvsps-import previously and had a problem using the repository after the import was completed. The repository was missing a few changesets. It turns out that the problems were primarily caused by me, but they did cost me a week (while I waited for the import to finish), plus several days troubleshooting. I then used my spare time in the next several weeks playing around with some of the other available methods for migrating from CVS (or git) to bzr. I didn't really want to come forward until I had something that worked. It still is very possible that my current cvsps-import will fail. I really debated speaking up about my experiments, because for the most part they have shown that bzr's import tools aren't quite up to the task of converting Emacs. I have, however, made enough progress that I would almost certainly would be helpful to anyone that was interested in experimenting with bzr for themselves. Plus, I *have* been meaning to find a way to help with Emacs development :). Jason
