If this is convenient enough, and doesn't involve any security risks, we could support such a possibility, sure. But before we make the decision, we need to think the entire workflow through, starting from the initial submission, through all the followup changes, and ending with pushing the changes, and see that these all can be easily supported from Emacs and Git.
