K is not a good idea, for 2 reasons:
. the KOI8 family includes 3 encodings, not 1
. U in koi8-u stands for "Ukraine", so replacing it with K will
probably be frowned upon
How about using У instead? (Assuming using non-ASCII works there; the
code seems to allow that.)
