You should report it with M-x report-emacs-bug". But they don't, > and my impression is that it seems scary. The report seems to go into > an official secret place or something? FWIW - When an Emacs question or answer on Stack Exchange or Stack Overflow seems to point to a possible bug or enhancement request, I often suggest that the person report it using `M-x report-emacs-bug'. And most of the time they do. My impression is that many might not have been previously aware of `report-emacs-bug'. My impression is also that those who used it for the first time had no problem doing so. IOW, it has not seemed to me that it was scary of difficult to figure out, or that they hesitated for some reason. I believe that those Q&A sites get all kinds of Emacs users, including many who are newbies and many who are young and might be more used to web-based bug reporting. I haven't noticed any balking at sending an email via `M-x report-emacs-bug'. Just an impression and anecdotal info. And I can't speak for any who might not have filed a bug. At least I don't recall anyone expressing hesitation or reporting any difficulty.
