That's not exactly it: it means support for a different set of fonts, who= se glyphs are multi-color pictures instead of monochrome shapes. I asked about this feature two weeks ago, and got many replies (most of t= hem lukewarm). I think Richard and you also replied: > On 12/17/2015 06:25 PM, John Wiegley wrote: >>>>>>> Richard Stallman writes: >>> I suggest that we give low priority to this feature. Freetype has supported it since 2012. Emacs' has a direct interface to Fr= eetype, but it seems to essentially be dead code. libXft doesn't expose F= reetype's support for this feature, and I didn't get a reply from the dev= s on their mailing list about this. Cairo doesn't expose Freetype's suppo= rt either, though Mozilla implemented support for it in their own branch.= All in all it seems that it will be some time before GNU/Linux users get= access to this feature. --0CTQLj8tsBW2XhOX60gH0LkDeuO6NOXX5 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.22 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJWgsgCAAoJEPqg+cTm90wjF3wP/Ry1Sf6f/nwuyZw4Ha5t/ZKv qnIHWI3nFYp3c9a/flx4aW74/VmgBS9ga8o5Uxoi43S+oAHkDxD4UK3haZnqNy1m FfqIqbZWhYS7B4Jkx9EzO1Gfc4W3aN5ydeU+Aig9B7sSksRfYecSAL6of5dtB2Wn A6YRh7P+GVDitJMH/S8K/O7Y8cxECuW12sUQD+l5sQ+b5xFBsdMs05bytcGUL1Rq WaJcQCGxIz8rV0o4tuxO7yVyHlTtzYz2qPkVSE+CwnbtDum6oNwpNGIUSGAkmZfT wOZMS0vgkMnFMEfAkAGntn3+mk2Iis8nrN2x2Ue+Ei4wXCqlNC4Z6uwy8jtvtOhD lyg6B4OlmhAPvA8jMSHUe217r2vaG8Y5+smqmoeni/binSRmu2Y9jRa3Fvi2Tt41 o0vWcOJlwJTGMdn+ktxr2GzAM2RSY96AdQiD++yHvvA7+fpEVp5iVKHeE0SOS9qj +dWMeblGuL3e2uPjoirqlijjO1eE+xl81vKNlHM0WRmmqBrsc6DtkDs1+3+ki9US 00RMMrysMWP6ZQgavQ8GXM9CvzUnT+VNI4KH4dSvFMHzz5wGek1w01nZoUkQgp82 qfAKxcjBRP2tGhAoMUDqErl0r4QyqeUs72yDmq46MjMsAzcVViGiLefiMQo05u6z xmr1ZB0UT/JaJXg+8yge =Nout -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --0CTQLj8tsBW2XhOX60gH0LkDeuO6NOXX5--
