I'm talking about display artifacts in the fringe.  I attached a shot
for the Gtk build.  IIRC you fixed this for the Windows build in r117417
of the emacs-24 branch but for some reason the fix didn't seem to help
for the Gtk build.  Below I add our last dialogue about this subject.
