But > revision 108856 should be reverted. OK, thanks, I reverted the arbitrary imposition of a limit of 100000 in the trunk, and filed Bug#11857 about the underlying problem. The underlying problem is not new -- I reproduced it in Emacs 23.3 -- so at least this is not a regression.
