After some investigation, -Demacs is given both when compiling stuff  
in src and movemail.c in lib-src.  However, the NS (and formerly  
Carbon) ports need to distinguish compilation of emacs itself from  
utility programs, to trigger use of special malloc functions in  
unexmacosc.c.  C_SWITCH_SYSTEM_TEMACS and -Dtemacs are used for this  
purpose.
