I get a lot of these during bootstrap from the latest CVS. Anyone else 
seeing this?

Ok, thank. I saw you said it was a non-issue and told us to read 
INSTALL.CVS. Exactly what is it you think of then? maintainer-clean? Is 
that safe to run if you have some patches you want to preserve?
