With --disable-font-backend, international characters are always shown
ignoring font attributes, such as style, size, etc.

I don't think there is any point in reporting font display bugs with 
--disable-font-backend.  The current attempt to maintain both the old 
and new font code has caused problems for both sets of code, and is in 
the process of being resolved by removing the old font code completely.
