Since the bikeshed is in full swing: IMHO both 'curl' and
'external-http-client' are not great options because using curl (or any
external lib or program) to accomplish the goal is a means to an end, or
perhaps even a downside of this package, rather than its end goal (which
is, I'm guessing, to provide a nicer and reliable API for making HTTP
requests).
