How about the rest?  This is about the most unimportant part of the
patch.  I can even be taken out.

  >  You could make `print-log' return the relevant info instead.

Like say, make `vc-rcs-print-log' return `limit-unsupported' if passed a
non-nil limit?  OK with that kind of change?
