Thanks. But the problem persists in CVS HEAD:

% ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/emacs --with-gtk --build=i386-freebsd
% make bootstrap

Build error:

When "--with-x-toolkit=motif" is used, make bootstrap is OK.
Hmm, Openmotif doesn't look that bad! :)
