A conjecture regarding respect: In every pair of hackers in this mailing list, each has some specialist skill or knowledge useful to the project that the other lacks. Therefore respect is due from everybody to everybody else. More to the point: respect is due from everybody to everybody simply as fellow travellers on the weary road of existence. We all want the same thing - Emacs 22.1. I think a lot of us are feeling stressed and frustrated right now - so it's not a good time to squabble. Richard has to decide when Emacs is ready to release, and that's a decision fraught with uncertainty and stress. So everyone, please stop bugging him! -- Alan Mackenzie (Ittersbach, Germany).
