You mean "Variable Aliases"?

   The node 'Defining Functions' describes
   defalias, so that might be a natural place to put your changes.

But most of that node is about `defun'.  It did not seem to fit there.

   I also suggested a single node called 'Obsoletion' where both sets
   of changes could go.

But one is about functions, the other about variables.
