Yes, I understand. But installing in place is faster, and in the almost three years I've been doing so daily I never had any trouble at all till now. But I'm not complaining either. Having access to Emacs sources from your repository is great, and I don't mind in the slightest to have to rsync before bootstrapping. I was a bit caught by surprise, that's all. Juanma
