In the latter case I guess it would be easy to make it callable from Lisp, which would be useful. I might have misunderstood your previous mail. Was your cond form intended as a blueprint for a Lisp function (which would also have reinvented the wheel) or as a suggested change in actual behavior? Sincerely, Luc.
