Why? Because local-write-file-hooks should disappear. Just use the LOCAL argument to `add-hook' instead. Stefan PS: I have a patch to rename those *-file-*-hooks to *-file-*-hook or *-file-*-function to better follow the naming convention. Now that we have defvaralias, we can do this switch with 100% backward compatibility. Any interest ?
