Is there some problem with Emacs keeping the existing simple definition of `interactive-p'? (defun interactive-p () (called-interactively-p 'interactive)) What's the problem with that? With that longstanding definition _in Emacs_, no one needs to define it in a million files or create a file for it and require that file everywhere.
