I have compiled GNU Emacs 22.1.92 on Solaris Express Community Edition
("Nevada") b78, in both 32- and 64-bit mode using Sun's C compiler
(SunStudio 12), and have been using the 64-bit version for a week
without any problems.
I used the following configuration:
export CC CFLAGS
CC=/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc
CFLAGS="-O -xtarget=ultra -g -xs" [+ "-m64" for 64-bit mode]
./configure --prefix=/usr/local --without-gcc --with-xpm --with-jpeg --with-tiff --with-gif --with-png --with-gtk --enable-font-backend --with-xft
Best regards,
--
Simon.
