You can use this text field to access dot files. It indeed opens a textarea but typing the dotfile does not seem to make it being opened. Someone just told me I have to right-click on the filelist to activate hidden file displaying. I'm ashamed I have to ask such simple questions but the previous file selector was much more intuitive.
