Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:

I am using the European date style

How to produce:
1. (setq calendar-month-name-array ["1" "2" "3" "4" "5" "6" "7" "8" "9" "10" "11" "12"])

2. Add "18 1 an example monthly diary entry" to diary-file without the quotes

3. Make sure calendar-mark-diary-entries-flag is set to t

4. Now go to date 'year 1 month 8 day 1' and you can see that entry is also marked
