Subject: emacs 21.2 + Irix 6.5 build fails.
Date: 01 Aug 2002 17:40:28 +0200 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <wz84reeh9jn.fsf@amigo.daimi.au.dk> (raw)
I've been having problems building Emacs 21.2 on Irix 6.5. Emacs
dumps core when trying to byte-compile a certain quail elisp file.
I haven't been able to find anything about this on the net, but
perhaps I haven't been looking thorougly enough.
The system I'm compiling on is (uname -a):
IRIX akagi 6.5 07091542 IP32 mips
I've pasted some of the output of the incomplete build below:
Converting /var/tmp/BUILD-emacs21/emacs-21.2/leim/CXTERM-DIC/QJ.tit to quail-package...
Decoding with coding system euc-china...
Processing header part...
Formatting translation rules...
Converting /var/tmp/BUILD-emacs21/emacs-21.2/leim/CXTERM-DIC/SW.tit to quail-package...

Converting /var/tmp/BUILD-emacs21/emacs-21.2/leim/CXTERM-DIC/TONEPY.tit to quail-package...

Converting /var/tmp/BUILD-emacs21/emacs-21.2/leim/CXTERM-DIC/ZOZY.tit to quail-package...

Byte-compile the created files by:
% emacs -batch -f batch-byte-compile XXX.el
gmake[1]: *** [quail/CCDOSPY.elc] Segmentation fault (core dumped)
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/BUILD-emacs21/emacs-21.2/leim'
gmake: *** [leim] Error 2
Any ideas and/or suggestions on how to fix this are much welcome.
Regards,
Lars Hesel
