Why the never ending saga of getting dired to recognize varying ls
output. Can't you tell dired that the filename is usually the last
thing on a line? Erm, no, I didn't look under the hood, but I just
flashed on "isn't the filename is usually the last thing on a line?"

Witness using C-u s --full-time
Not even LC_ALL=C will not make this fully usable in dired; the old
"No file on this line" jazz.

The problem is to determine what is ``the last thing on a line''.

The problem is to define what is the last "thing".

Filenames may contain spaces.
