It doesn't matter how long you make emacs,
$ seq 444; emacs --no-site-file -q -geometry 81x333 -eval '(tool-bar-mode 0)' \
-fn -*-fixed-medium-r-normal-*-16-*-*-*-*-*-fontset-standard&
If you dare to do tool-bar-mode 0, you will still see the next shell prompt
below emacs. The order of the arguments doesn't matter. You cannot
enjoy full length. You must double click the emacs window to get full length.
emacs-version is "21.3.1"

Try "-xrm 'Emacs.toolBar:0'" or put it in your ~/.Xresources file to
change it permanently.

See (info "(emacs)Resources") for more. Or maybe it is (info
"(emacs)Resources X") in Emacs 21.3.

Bye, Reiner.
