Hi,
The documentation for dired-guess-shell-alist-user
is not clear about the use of * as a substitution character.
This is only mentioned in the dired node of the emacs info manual.
I suggest this is repeated on the dired-x manual or that something
like "see the dired node of the emacs manual for more info" is added
to this documentation.
