Subject: iso-ascii.el customize bug
Date: Sun, 09 Feb 2003 04:38:03 +0100 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <m34r7ei0o4.fsf@defun.localdomain> (raw)
Just selecting the i18n customization group turns on the display-table
modifications done by the top-level forms in iso-ascii.el. A rather
surprising side-effect!
Steps to reproduce:
* `M-x customize-group i18n'
* Type some non-ASCII chars, e.g. "æø" which is shown as "{ae}{/o}"
Isn't iso-ascii.el semi-obsolete, by the way? latin1-disp.el offers the
same functionality (and more).
In GNU Emacs 21.2.1 (i386-redhat-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d scroll bars)
