On each key pressing, cursor quickly goes to beginning of line and then
goes back to end of line, which makes flicks.
There is no such problem with the Emacs 24.5.

I don't see a pinyin input method in the Emacs tree. Is that
something that comes with Emacs, and if so, how to activate it?

The input method is part of the operating system(mac OSX chinese
edition) and can be activated by hot key: command+space.

With pinyin input method activated, one or more English chars makes a
list of Chinese chars. After inputing a English char, the list is
updated. User can select a char in the list and the selected char will
be inserted in the Emacs buffer.

In that case, I'm afraid someone with access to your platform and the
input method will have to debug this. I don't know how this input
method interacts with Emacs on your platform.
