The Change Log info page mentions nothing for folks who would rather
their ChangeLogs were called changelog.txt.
One finds
(defun change-log-name ()
"Return (system-dependent) default name for a change log file."
(or change-log-default-name
(if (eq system-type 'vax-vms)
"$CHANGE_LOG$.TXT"
"ChangeLog")))
but what if one is thinking ms-dos or "world wide web", where one
doesn't want capitals.
Wait, maybe (setq change-log-default-name "changelog.txt") will work.
Ok, put it on the Info page. BTW isn't this header strip better than
one with a e-mail address:
2002-03-29 Dan Jacobson <http://jidanni.org/>
As you can get more info from a fellow's website than waiting for a
unlikely perhaps email reply.
Tell folks how to do that in the info page with
add-log-mailing-address.
Right now you just mention user-mail-address.
By the way, this ZIPPY quote contains a SPELLING ERROR: If I cover this
entire WALL with MAZOLA, wdo I have to give my AGENT ten per cent??
Was the ZIPPY file SPELLCHECKED?

"ChangeLog" works very well on MS-DOS, believe me. Emacs primitives
and the automatic truncation and upcasing of file names by the OS
take care of that. That's a non-issue.
