If you could paste the characters one by one to see if it=CA=BCs a specific one that causes this, and do 'C-u C-x =3D' on them so we know what font is being used, that would help. FWIW I don=CA=BCt see this on GNU/Linux. It=CA=BCs possible it=CA=BCs font = dependent. Robert
