I have ~/.ssh/config that says

so I can do `ssh fence` from shell just fine.

Until recently I could also do

(copy-file "/scp:fence:~/.newsrc" "~/.newsrc")

using tramp, but now I am getting this weird question

User "sds" is invalid in my case :-) Then I have applied

This fails with

sds@fencepost.gnu.org: Permission denied (publickey).

as expected. What happens, if you call from your shell
