Select text with a link on a web page.
Copy it to the clipboard.
Paste it into, say, a google doc - the link is preserved.
Paste it into Emacs (C-y) - only the text is inserted, not the link,
even in org model which can handle links.
moreover,
--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
(mapcar (lambda (cell)
(gui-get-selection 'CLIPBOARD (car cell)))
selection-converter-alist)
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---
returns identical strings, so, apparently, emacs cannot extract text
with links on Mac.
I am away from X, so I cannot check if the same problem is present
there.
Thank you.

Moreover, if I type `[[http://foo.bar][text]]` in an org buffer (which
is shown as a hyperlink `text`) and copy it to the clipboard (M-w), and
then paste it into, say, google doc or gmail, it is pasted as plain text
`[[...][...]]` rather than a hyperlink `text`.

Try using `M-x yank-media' in a html-mode buffer -- it should yank the
HTML instead of the text.
I don't think Org implements a yank-media handler yet, though.

Cool!
Shouldn't it be integrated into the usual interprocess communication mechanism?
Also, does it support copying links from emacs?
Thank you!
