Subject: bug#9215: Reused window made dedicated
Date: Sun, 17 Jul 2011 23:47:58 -0400	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <jwvk4bgp853.fsf-monnier+@gnu.org> (raw)

In my setup (where *Group* matches some entry in
special-display-regexp), M-: (switch-to-buffer "*Group*") RET now sets
the selected window as dedicated. I can see that
display-buffer-reuse-window gets called with a (dedicate . t) entry in
`specifiers'.

Maybe it should be possible to specify such a behavior, but it clearly
shouldn't be the way it works by default. I use the patch below as
a workaround for now.
