If you read the above docstring carefully, you'll see that it doesn't say "don't make windows smaller than that" but just that if a window gets smaller it'll be deleted. I do think it's a misfeature, but it's not one that's trivial to fix. IIUC Martin has worked on a fix, but he hasn't submitted it yet, so I guess it's not quite ready for prime time. Stefan
