OK, now I hereby challenge you to move those lines slowly back the other way in the same fashion. Simple you say: use an argument of -1. But then it becomes a giant pain trying to do that over and over. OK, one could make a keyboard macro to do it, but still no fun. Hitting C-x e over and over is much harder than e.g., C-x C-e, which often one hits by accident when trying to hit the former. Therefore you should implement a indent-rigidly-reverse and bind it to some key, else you are offering one-way joyrides. ------------=_1220537404-8524-0 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.2.3-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (2007-08-08) on rzlab.ucr.edu X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-6.2 required=4.0 tests=AWL,BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=ham version=3.2.3-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 Received: (at 878-done) by emacsbugs.donarmstrong.com; 4 Sep 2008 14:01:00 +0000 Received: from ironport2-out.teksavvy.com (ironport2-out.pppoe.ca [206.248.154.182]) by rzlab.ucr.edu (8.13.8/8.13.8/Debian-3) with ESMTP id m84E0sHR005438 for <878-done@emacsbugs.donarmstrong.com>; Thu, 4 Sep 2008 07:00:58 -0700 X-IronPort-Anti-Spam-Filtered: true X-IronPort-Anti-Spam-Result: Ai8FAL+Gv0hFxJRU/2dsb2JhbACBZrZAgWeBBg X-IronPort-AV: E=Sophos;i="4.32,320,1217822400"; d="scan'208";a="26343945" Received: from 69-196-148-84.dsl.teksavvy.com (HELO ceviche.home) ([69.196.148.84]) by ironport2-out.teksavvy.com with ESMTP; 04 Sep 2008 10:00:31 -0400 Received: by ceviche.home (Postfix, from userid 20848) id E3E01B405D; Thu, 4 Sep 2008 10:00:15 -0400 (EDT) From: Stefan Monnier To: 878-done@emacsbugs.donarmstrong.com Subject: Re: bug#878: indent-rigidly-reverse Message-ID: References: <8763pcpter.fsf@jidanni.org> Date: Thu, 04 Sep 2008 10:00:15 -0400 In-Reply-To: (Stefan Monnier's message of "Thu, 04 Sep 2008 00:26:10 -0400") User-Agent: Gnus/5.13 (Gnus v5.13) Emacs/23.0.60 (gnu/linux) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii >> Hitting C-x e over and over is much harder than e.g., C-x C-e, which > In Emacs-22, both C-x z and C-x e can be repeated with "C-x z z z z z" > or "C-x e e e e e".
