Thank you for the patch for collapsing multiple consecutive slashes in file names. I generalised it by canonicalising all file names as soon as they are read into etags. I just installed the change into the trunk. I did not install it into the pretest branch yet. Since this is a bug, it probably should go into the pretest branch too. What do people think? I am unsure whether this is serious enough to grant a patch to the pretest branch, P.S. Please put me in Cc, as I discovered that I am no more subscribed to the list, and a new subscription is in progress. ------------=_1219271705-7404-0 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.2.3-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (2007-08-08) on rzlab.ucr.edu X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, score=-3.5 required=4.0 tests=AWL,BAYES_00, MURPHY_DRUGS_REL8 autolearn=ham version=3.2.3-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 Received: (at 735-done) by emacsbugs.donarmstrong.com; 20 Aug 2008 22:30:06 +0000 Received: from cyd.mit.edu (CYD.MIT.EDU [18.115.2.24]) by rzlab.ucr.edu (8.13.8/8.13.8/Debian-3) with ESMTP id m7KMU2Ee005766 for <735-done@emacsbugs.donarmstrong.com>; Wed, 20 Aug 2008 15:30:04 -0700 Received: by cyd.mit.edu (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 5803157E32F; Wed, 20 Aug 2008 18:31:16 -0400 (EDT) To: Francesco Potorti Cc: 735-done@emacsbugs.donarmstrong.com Subject: Re: Bug in etags ".." code From: Chong Yidong Date: Wed, 20 Aug 2008 18:31:16 -0400 Message-ID: <87bpzns4i3.fsf@cyd.mit.edu> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii > Thank you for the patch for collapsing multiple consecutive slashes in > file names. I think we can leave it out of the pretest branch. ------------=_1219271705-7404-0--
