Subject: 23.0.90; Failing to get new mail in rmail
Date: Mon, 2 Feb 2009 15:56:54 +0000
Message-ID: <3591-Mon02Feb2009155654+0000-jpff@codemist.co.uk>
I have just managed to work round all the problems to get my RMAIL
file in mbox format. But now I cannot read new mail
(setq rmail-primary-inbox-list
'("/var/spool/mail/jpff" "/home/jpff/mbox" "/mnt/snout/home/jpff/mbox"))
cardew:/tmp> ls -l "/var/spool/mail/jpff" "/home/jpff/mbox" "/mnt/snout/home/jpff/mbox"
ls: cannot access /home/jpff/mbox: No such file or directory
-rw------- 1 jpff mail 1645024 2009-02-02 15:39 /mnt/snout/home/jpff/mbox
-rw------- 1 jpff users 0 2009-02-02 15:46 /var/spool/mail/jpff
And it says
(No new mail has arrived)
0 new messages read
But there are 219 messages in /mnt/snout/home/jpff/mbox which is my
main mailbox
The same happens with -q at startup
